Dear Force Families,

Based on the latest health data, DPS announced that they will bring elementary students back to our classrooms for in-person learning using a phased-in approach beginning October 5th! Outlined below you will find the Force Plan for bringing our students back to in person learning and virtual programming. We will continue to share additional information as it becomes available.

In Person Learning Details:
When we return to in person learning, we will follow these health and safety protocols including what to do when a student or staff member gets sick, quarantining procedures, and keeping the school building clean.  We will follow social distancing guidelines and require that all students and staff wear masks.  Our in person school day will be shortened allowing us to clean and sanitize the building in preparation for the next day. The school day will be from 8:15am-2:30pm.  In an effort to keep contact limited among students and staff; students will remain in one classroom throughout the day. Breakfast and lunch will be in the classroom or outside weather permitting. There will not be any large groups gathering in the cafeteria, gym or library. Specials classes (music, and physical education) will be provided online and students are required to participate from home at the end of each day.

Virtual Program:

Virtual programming will be available for families who opted to remain remote. We will be contacting families if their child’s teacher has changed due to this option.  Please know we tried to keep learning as consistent as possible for our students.

****The deadline is Sept. 18 for families to choose or change enrollment in in-person school or the virtual program. It’s important for families to pick an enrollment option before this deadline to help us determine the right staffing for both our virtual and in-person learning programs. Families who have not selected a learning option by the end of the day on Sept.18 will be automatically enrolled in the Virtual Program through December 2020.
Families who have not yet selected an enrollment option or families who would like to make a change to their previous selection have three ways to do so prior to the Sept. 18 deadline.

  • Complete the digital “Learning Option Change Form” in Parent Portal.
  • Complete a PDF form and return it to the school.
  • Call us at 720-424-7400 and make your selection over the phone.
