ECE In-Person Guide

 IN PERSON BUILDING GUIDANCE FOR ECE FORCE STUDENTS AND STAFF

 

   Morning Procedure: (720) 424-7400
Students Staff
  • Students must wear masks
  • Arrival and dismissal times will be staggered-  4 families at a time from 8:15-8:30am and 2:15-2:30pm.
  • Parents and students will line up at designated class entrance (separate for all 3 classrooms)
  • Parents and students will stand on ground marking to maintain 6 ft distance
  • All students will receive health screening at the door
  • Health screening by para- temp recorded on Temperature Log
  • If a student does not pass the health screening they will return home.
  • Separate sign-in/sign out for each student
  • Parents are not permitted to enter the building
  • Students will hang coats on hooks 1 at a time
  • Late arrivals will be required to enter through the front entrance and will be screened prior to entering the building.
  •  All staff will self- health screen using SafeAccess before arrival
  • Staff will follow the health screening protocol and use the Covid Screening Decision Tree
  • If an employee fails the health screener- they will notify the principal
  • Teacher sign in at the office
Breakfast Procedure:
Students

  • Students will be served  individual breakfast in the classroom.
  • Students will need to wash hands before eating breakfast
  • Students will remove masks while eating breakfast
  • Students will throw trash and wash hands
  • Trash will be collected in the hallway
Staff

  • Staff will ensure students touch only their food
  • Staff will ensure all students wash hands before and after eating
Hallway Procedure
Students

  • Students will walk single-file and maintain 6 feet distance when walking in the hall and to the playground
  • Student movement in hallways will be limited throughout the day
  • Students will walk on the far right of a hallway, keeping a 6-foot distance
  • Students will walk next to the coat racks and follow floor signage
Staff

  •  Staff will explicitly model, teach and practice new hallway procedures
  • Staff will teach students what it means to keep a 6 feet distance means and looks like
Bathroom Procedure:
Students

  • Students will use the bathroom in their classroom or closest to their classroom (one at a time) bathroom will be cleaned after each use.
Staff

  •     Staff will teach the procedure for single use of the bathroom
Lunch Procedure:
Students

●      Individual lunch will be served to students in their classrooms

●      Students will be 3 ft. apart

●      Students will need to wash hands before eating lunch

●      Students will remove masks while eating lunch

●      Students will throw trash and wash hands

●      Trash will be collected in the hallway

Staff

●      Staff will ensure students touch only their food

●      Staff will ensure all students wash hands before eating

●       If staff prefers to take class outdoors to eat (weather permitting) they may do so

●      If taking class outside coordinate with grade level team to ensure cohorts don’t mix and that each cohort is going to a different location

 

Recess Procedure:

Students

  • Students will have daily recess directly before or after lunch
  • Class recess time is staggered between the two classes
  • Students will always enter the building through the their designated door
  • Students will wash their hands before and after recess
  • Students will have a classroom basket of equipment to play with and share outside/equipment will be sanitized after use
Staff

  • Staff will accompany classroom outside (see schedule)
  • Masks may be removed outside
  • Staff will line class up (6 ft apart) and enter/exit  through their designated door
Dismissal Procedure:
Students:

●      Students will exit the building through the same door they entered through

●      Pick up is staggered  beginning at 2:15.

 

Staff:

Para will monitor the sign out table

Teacher will assist students
