5th-Grade Links

Mr. Schmidt, Ms. Eurich and Ms. Douglas-Tran teach 5th grade at Force. Here are some resources that we use everyday in our classrooms. Try to use them at home when you can! Scroll down for links in literacy, writing, math, science, social studies and more!

Literacy

  • Raz Kids – This site allows you to read books from a leveled library.  You can also have the books read to you, as well as record your voice while you are reading a book. When asked for the password, type in bclarked.
  • Test Prep- English
  • Test Prep- Spanish

Grammar

  • Grammar Gorillas– Play grammar gorillas and see if you know your nouns, verbs and adjectives.
  • Supernova- Adjectives – Choose the best adjective to complete the sentence. Click ‘Check It’ to see how you did. Click intro to listen to the directions.
  • Alien Mine– Verbs – See if you can find the verbs and wack the aliens at the same time. Click intro to listen to the directions.

Punctuation

  • Paintball Punctuation: Read the directions first as you try to shoot in the correct capitalization and punctuation. Click intro to listen to the directions.

Spelling

  • Gnome Game – Go fishing with the gnomes to practice how to spell plural nouns. Click the arrow in the bottom right to continue.
  • Cover Up Spelling– Test your memory and spelling at the same time with this game.
  • Homophone Match– Match these homophones to win the game.
