Building a safe learning community

Building a safe learning community is a priority here at Force. One way in which we accomplish this is through the implementation of The Olweus [pronounced Ol-VEY-us] Bullying Prevention Program. This comprehensive, school-wide program is designed to reduce and prevent bullying problems among school children and to improve peer relations at school.

LEAP Program

The LEAP Out of School Program is a comprehensive after school program focused on academic, recreational, cultural, artistic, and social enrichment. The 10 hour per week program is open to eighty students from Force Elementary, grades 2 to 5. Activities include homework help, academic games, arts and crafts, outdoor education/recreation, and character building classes. LEAP is a free program run through Catholic Charities.

Other Force after school programs managed by Catholic Charities include the Roadrunners Club, Sewing Club, Tadpoles (1st grade LEAP), LEAPfrogs (1st and 2nd grade arts and crafts), and the Shakespeare Club.
